Karachi (August 3):* Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori announced that the Governor House will initiate a 24-hour distribution of ration bags to the deservings. He stated that over 2 million people in need would receive these ration bags, and the effort would continue. In the first phase, an order for 9,000 solar systems has been placed, which would be distributed to those consuming less than 300 units of electricity. He urged the media to participate in this charitable effort.
Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori made these remarks while speaking to the media after distributing ration bags at the Governor House. He noted that over 690,000 individuals have already received ration bags. Since opening the doors of the Governor House to the public, more than 3 million people have visited. The Governor also highlighted that 8,000 laptops have been distributed to young people, and free IT courses are being provided to 50,000 youths.
He said despite limited resources, the initiative is being supported by generous donors. Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori invited the public to participate in the Independence Day celebrations at the Governor House on August 14, where a cake will be cut, the national anthem will be sung, and fireworks will be displayed. He called on everyone to pledge their commitment to enhancing Pakistan’s honor, dignity, and economy.
He also mentioned that he would provide updates on the ongoing projects under the Governor Initiative every other day until August 14. He stressed the importance of media in showcasing these efforts to inspire further contributions from generous individuals.
Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori assured that the Governor House remains apolitical, focusing solely on providing IT courses without any political influence. He stated that young people are being empowered to become economic contributors for themselves and their families.
