Governor Sindh Announces Tree Plantation Drive Across Province from August 1st Under Governor Initiative

Karachi (July 11): Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori has announced the launch of a tree plantation drive across the province starting from August 1st under the Governor Initiative. Emphasizing the urgent need for more trees in the context of climate change, he made this announcement during a meeting with a six-member delegation from the Faizan Global Relief Foundation, led by its CEO Haji Abdul Habib Attari.

Governor Sindh highlighted that Faizan Global Relief Foundation will play an active role in this tree plantation campaign under the Governor Initiative. The meeting included discussions on public welfare initiatives, Dawat-e-Islami’s religious teachings, and various charitable activities, including the tree plantation drive. Governor Sindh praised Dawat-e-Islami’s contributions to both religious education and welfare activities, noting the commendable efforts in aiding the poor and needy, especially in training the youth.

The delegation lauded the Governor’s welfare projects as milestones for society. Haji Abdul Habib Attari informed Governor Sindh that they have planted three million trees so far and expressed the desire to commence Independence Day celebrations with this tree plantation campaign.
