Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Condemns Assassination of Hamas Leader Ismail Haniyeh

Peshawar, July 31, 2024 – The Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, has strongly condemned the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political wing of Hamas.

The Governor expressed his deep sorrow and shock over the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh and extended his heartfelt condolences to the Palestinian people. He prayed for the elevation of the martyr’s ranks and expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people in their time of grief.

Governor Kundi described the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh as a tragic loss for the entire Muslim ummah, including the Palestinian people. He praised Ismail Haniyeh’s tireless efforts to raise his voice for the rights of Palestinians on every platform, as well as his support for the freedom of Kashmir.

The Governor warned that the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh will further escalate tensions in the region, and expressed his concern over the potential consequences for regional stability.
