Governor Kakar calls for preparing comprehensive policy to make govt hospitals exemplary institutions

QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar has underlined the need to prepare a comprehensive policy for making the government hospitals exemplary healthcare institutions.
He said that there is a need to take sensitivity of the congo virus and other fatal diseases serious and follow all the principles of hygiene and cleanliness in the hospitals and otherwise.
The Governor was speaking to the caretaker Provincial Minister for Information, Jan Achakzai who called on him here at the Governor House on Tuesday.
The Governor expressed concern over that the lack of capacity and healthcare facilities as well as poor cleanliness situation in the hospitals operating in Quetta city.
Under the given circumstances, there is a need to prepare a comprehensive policy to deal with the healthcare issues in the province by making the public sector hospitals exemplary health institutions.
This would surely benefit the poor patients coming from remote areas to seek healthcare facilities in the metropolis, he believed.
He also said that the present government is determined to provide health facilities to the people besides provision of other basic facilities to them at their doorstep.
He appreciated the initiative of launching of Health card programme in the province and described it welcoming.
The Governor also stressed the need to provide best medical care to the doctors and other health providers contracted the Congo virus in the province.
In addition to this, he called for adopting precautionary measures for prevention of different fatal diseases.
