QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has hailed the Provincial budget for the next financial year and said that the Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti-led government has made attempt to present a balanced budget despite the tough economic and political situation in the country and region.
It is welcoming not to impose new tax in the budget, stated the Governor in a statement issued here on Saturday.
The Governor said that it is evident from the budget documents despite all the tough economic situation, the provincial government is endeavouring hard to create opportunities of livelihood, being investment in the province and improve economic condition of the common men.
He expressed the hope that the situation would improve further after clearance of the dues of the province and provision of the necessary development funds by the federation and implementation would be made on the new financial year budget successfully, he maintained.
The Governor observed that the funds allocated in the budget for last several years are not being used fully.
A big amount gets lapsed every year and as such sincere efforts should be made this time to utilize all the allocated funds by the end of financial year, adding he stressed.
The Governor also emphasized that fruits of implementation on the development projects must reach to the common men.
He also asked the authorities to put right the imbalance being witnessed in the development projects.
He said that the basic objective of all the policies and projects is to benefit the people. So the development projects and measures should be finalized keeping in view the public interest so as to set new courses of development and construction, the Governor stressed further.
