QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar has stated that we would provide opportunities of making online business and employment to the unemployed youth by imparting them the training of information technology and artificial intelligence.
He said that our youth can earn money without making investment while sitting at home.
He said that we can achieve our target with wholehearted cooperation and partnership of the public sector universities of the province.
The Governor expressed these views while presiding over the meeting about Balochistan IT initiative digital here at the Governor House on Thursday.
Those who were present in the meeting were included vice chancellor of Balochistan university, Dr Shafiqur Rehman, vice chancellor of Balochistan university of IT, Engineering and Management Sciences, Dr Khalid Hafeez, vice chancellor of Loralai university, Dr Ehsanullah Kakar, principal Secretary to Governor, Hashim Khan Ghilzai, Dean of NUST Balochistan, Dr Waseem Khaliq, besides other concerned high ups.
The meeting reviewed procedure of written and online test for the candidates selected for training, preparation of course outline, it’s duration and other related matters.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that we have targeted to impart modern IT training to some 10,000 unemployed youngsters.
In the preliminary stage, there can be some less or more, however, we would overcome our weaknesses gradually and would succeed in achieving the target set in interest of the province.
It was decided that the written test would be conducted at 12:00 noon on December 10 at the BUITEMS.
While different other universities would conduct the online tests in other districts if needed so.
Meanwhile, certain important decisions were also made in light of the recommendations and proposals made by the participants in meeting.
