Governor Balochistan concerned about increase usage of narcotics in society

QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has expressed deep concern over the increasing usage of narcotics in the society. The increased use of narcotics is putting the future of country at stake besides affecting the creative capabilities of youth.
This was stated by the Governor in a message issued on the International Day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking observed on Wednesday.
The Governor said that the basic objective behind observance of the International Day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking is to promote the collective awareness and sense about the ill effects and harms of the use of drugs.
He stressed the need to adopt comprehensive strategy to control the curse of narcotics in the society.
He also emphasized upon paying wholehearted attention on promotion of mutual cooperation for stopping demand and supply of the narcotics.
He believed that the cooperation of educational institutions and media is very important for making the anti-narcotics policy effective and result-oriented, which has been formulated at the national level.
He said that complete elimination of narcotics is a national obligation, which can be achieved through collective efforts.
He said that saving life of a person is equal to save the whole humanity.
