Gilgit, Nov. 25, : Iman Shah, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, has stated that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan have once again rejected anti-state elements, foiling their attempts to create unrest in the region.
Addressing a press conference, Iman Shah praised the people of Gilgit-Baltistan for their awareness and commitment to peace, saying that only 300 people out of a population of 1.8 million responded to the call of anti-state elements. He criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for its role in creating unrest in the region.
Iman Shah also condemned Khurshid Khushnood, a fugitive from the law, for attempting to mislead the people of Gilgit-Baltistan from the safety of Peshawar. He said that Khurshid had promised to lead convoys from Gilgit-Baltistan but failed to do so, exposing his true intentions.
