Ghotki Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of journalist Muhammad Bachal Ghaniyu, who was killed on August 27 in the limits of Shahid Din Muhammad Laghari police station. The suspect, Shakoot son of Qadir Bux Ghaniyu, was arrested along with the weapon used in the crime. Further investigation is underway.

The residents of Shah Latif Town, a housing scheme developed by the Malir Development Authority (MDA), are suffering due to the lack of basic amenities such as electricity, gas, water, roads, and sewage systems. Despite collecting millions of rupees from residents, MDA has failed to provide these essential facilities, leaving over 100,000 residents to fend for themselves. The situation has become so dire that residents are forced to buy expensive bottled water and rely on private generators for electricity.
