Ghazala Gola becomes first female Deputy Speaker BA:

QUETTA: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) nominated Captain (Retd) Abdul Khaliq Achakzai and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP)’s nominated Ms. Ghazal Gola were sworn in as Speaker and Deputy Speaker Balochistan Assembly respectively here on Thursday.
While the Presiding Officer nominated for the first session of assembly, Engineer Zamarak Khan Achakzai administered oath to the newly elected Speaker Abdul Khaliq Achakzai, later, Mr. Achakzai administered oath to Ms. Ghazala Gola at session of the assembly the same afternoon.
Earlier, both were elected unopposed as Speaker and Deputy Speaker of Balochistan Assembly respectively on Thursday.
The Secretary Balochistan Assembly, Tahir Shah Kakar announced that no other candidate submitted their nomination papers for the slots of Speaker and Deputy Speaker provincial Assembly except Abdul Khaliq Achakzai and Ms. Ghazala Gola till the given time on Thursday.
The PML-N-nominated candidate Abdul Khaliq Achakzai and PPP-nominated candidate Ms. Ghazala Gola submitted their nomination papers with the Secretary Provincial Assembly, Tahir Shah Kakar the same morning.
The Members provincial assembly, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran and Ms. Rubaba Khan Buledi were the proposer and seconders in the papers submitted by Abdul Khaliq Achakzai.
They were also present on the occasion of submission of nomination papers by Abdul Khaliq Achakzai.
Meanwhile, the members of assembly and others greeted Abdul Khaliq Achakzai on his election as the Speaker of provincial assembly. Sweets were also distributed among those present in the assembly.
