Ghazala calls for effective coordination between Govt. & NGOs to cope with challenges of climate change, etc.

QUETTA: The Deputy Speaker Balochistan Assembly and Chairprrson of Women Caucus, Ms. Ghazala Gola has stressed the need to take steps for effective coordination between the government and non-governmental organizations for coping with the challenges of climate change, empowering women economically and socially.
Ms. Ghazala Gola was speaking to the head of FDI Pakistan, Ms. Uzma Yaqoob, who called on him here at her chamber on Wednesday.
During the course of meeting, there was discussion on the protection of rights of women and under privileged segments, existing situation of law about under age marriages and assistance of the segments affected from the climate changes.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Speaker said that the present provincial government is determined to provide opportunities of progress to the women as well as all the backward and weak segments of the society.
She said that Pakistan Peoples Party is the representative party of the backward segments and as such the coalition government led by the Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti is working for welfare of the people under leadership of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.
Ms. Ghazala Gola said that work is continued on formulation of the effective policies in consultation with the stakeholders for legislation about the protection of rights of otherwise neglected segments of the society including the women and transgenders.
