FPCCI DELEGATION LED BY MR. UMAR MASOOD UR REHMAN VP FPCCI CALLED ON FEDERAL MINISTER KHALIL GEORGE

Islamabad (PR). A delegation Of the Federation Of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) led by Mr. Umar Masood ur Rehman, Vice President of FPCCI held a meeting with Mr. Khalil George the caretaker Federal Minister for Human Rights, and discussed strategies and initiatives to enhance international trade, promote exports, and improve the ease of doing business including industrial development. Among others Mr. Muhammad Aslam Sheikh & Mr. Muhammad Ali Sheikh Former Vice Presidents of FPCCI were also part of the delegation. On this occasion, various issues including the country’s economic challenges, and problems faced by the business community were discussed in detail. During the meeting,
Mr. Umar Masood ur Rehman, Vice President FPCCI, while appreciating the energetic caretaker minister for HR, discussed various issues about human rights nationally. He also drew his attention toward the rights of overseas Pakistanis who are our big resource of foreign exchange earnings and inward remittances.
The Vice President FPCCI urged strong collaboration between the Ministry of HR, the Ministry of Industry, and the Ministry of Education and Technical Training. Education and Technical training is the basic right of our youth. He said that today our industry is facing short of skilled labour. He assured that FPCCI will extend its full support to the Cartaker Governments on Federal and Provinces level in the broader national intrest.
Umar Masood ur Rehman also appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of HR for collaborating with FPCCI to hold Seminars all over Pakistan to create awareness about human rights with the support of UNHR. Vice President FPCCI futher said that Pakistan will not be able to stand on the list of developed nations until industrialization in Pakistan is not our top priority. Development of industry will help in increasing exports curtail imports and generate employment opportunities for our people. he further said that whenever we borrowed from the IMF, our GDP growth decreased instead of increasing and also became a reason for the hardship of the country. He further said that the present century is the century of economy and economically strong nations will rule the world.
Muhammad Ali Sheikh & Mr. Muhammad Aslam Sheikh, Former Vice Presidents of FPCCI said that there is need to make a comprehensive economic policy to manage the current economic crises of the country on priority. They said that, it is really embarrassing that our country could not find any economic planners who can make a proper plan to bring the country’s economy on the right track. The secret of any country’s economic development is the industrial sector of the country. It is our bad luck that all the political leaders have been involved in the political tussle, which is affecting the country’s economy and people. They further said that Pakistan has great importance as compared to many countries of the world. .
Mr. Khalil Georg, Federal Minister for Human Rights said that industrialists and businessmen have a key role in the economic and industrial development of the country and assured all possible support for industrial and business activities. He further said that FPCCI has always been on the front for the economic development of Pakistan, solving the problems of the business community, as the Federal Minister I am always behind them and will never leave the business community alone. He said the government had given top priority to human rights. The Ministry of Human Rights would help advance relations between the business community and the working class. Pakistan had to implement some good business values. However, there is still a need for much work, particularly at the SME level to protect the rights of workers. He further said that would improve the quality of life in the country by developing a fruitful interaction among stakeholders of the business community and the working class.
Caretaker Minister Mr. Khalil George has assured to try to address the problems of the business community. he acknowledged the contributions of the businessmen saying they are the engine of the economy and agents of economic sustenance. The Minister said it is through collective efforts we can embark upon the journey of transforming and improving the country’s economy. He was confident that we would transform and bring positive change together.
The minister acknowledged the fact that industry is the backbone of the country and to enhance its potential, we need to be addressed their issues on a war footing. The minister assured the delegation to take the business community on board and give priority to their issues. Promising the full support of the government to the business community, the minister assured that their concerns and challenges will be effectively addressed. With the support of the business community and strategic government initiatives, this ambitious endeavor holds the promise of bolstering the nationโ€™s economic prowess and global trade stature.
