Former Provincial Human Rights Minister Ijaz Alam Augustine has not yet received justice

Lahore : Ex-provincial Human rights minister Ijaz Alam Augustine, on his return from Okara to Lahore, unknown persons tried to shoot at the provincial ministe. He lodged FIR and demanded arrest the accused but the police dealing this case as tradition, saying search for the accused is going on, while the police is limited to suspending the investigating officer or changing the inquiry officer.

Ejaz Alam Augustine was known as a loud voice of Christian community during his reign, ensure the protection of religious places of worship with specific quota of jobs for the Christian community while during his reign Yohanabad became first model city, funds of billion of rupees were provided to build the city, along with ensuring the admission of Christian students in higher educational institutions. Credit also goes to Ijaz Alam as during his ministry Christian boys and girls started to be prominent in every department also funds of religious days were increased. Ejaz Alam left no stone unturned to ensure the end of the feeling of deprivation among the religious minorities. Even after the Jaranwala tragedy, Ejaz Alam was the powerful voice who registered the FIR, after which he was threatened with different threats etc. But he always remained the voice of the oppressed persons. In October, unknown motorcyclists fired at his car near Kot Radha Kishan, he survived miraculously, but despite the passage of two months, the arrest of the accused has not yet been carried out, due to which there is a wave of great concern in the Christian community that if the attackers of a former minister cannot be arrested, what will happen to the common man. The Christian community appealed to the IG Punjab and Chief Minister Punjab for prompt justice and said that those who attacked on Ijaz Alam should be immediately arrested and all the demands of justice should be fulfilled.
