Former ANP Senator Zahid Khan Quits Party, Set to Join PML-N

Independent Report. Islamabad. Nov. 09.
Zahid Khan, a veteran leader and former senator of the Awami National Party (ANP), has parted ways with the party, according to sources. Khan is expected to join the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and will make an official announcement in the presence of Federal Minister Amir Muqam.

Khan’s decision comes after months of distancing himself from ANP’s party activities. His departure is seen as a significant blow to the ANP, while PML-N is likely to gain momentum with his inclusion.

It’s worth noting that Khan was instrumental in ANP’s electoral campaigns, particularly in the 1970s when the party used the “laltein” symbol ¹. His switch to PML-N may indicate a significant shift in the political landscape of Pakistan.
