FLOOD PREPAREDNESS: NASEERABAD ADMINISTRATION TAKES PROACTIVE MEASURES

The Naseerabad district administration has sprung into action to tackle the flood situation in the region. Under the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Munir Ahmed Kakar, Assistant Commissioner Dera Murad Jamali Ajmal Khan Mandokhail, along with Executive Engineer Pat Feeder Canal Muhammad Ibrahim Mengal, conducted an inspection tour of Manjho Shori, RD 621 Babakot yesterday.

During the visit, they assessed the flood protection measures and inspected the Qaboola River, bridges, and outside areas. The team found the water level in the canal to be 5 inches lower than normal in Rabi and 9 inches lower in the main Pat Feeder Canal.

The administration expressed satisfaction with the current flood situation but reiterated the need to further strengthen the embankments of the irrigation branch. They assured that the district administration is in close contact with all departments, including the irrigation department, to tackle any difficult situations.

Machinery and staff have been deployed at possible danger points, and the situation is being closely monitored to protect the lives and property of the people. The administration’s proactive measures aim to mitigate the impact of any potential flooding in the region.
