A five-day anti-polio campaign has been launched in Kandhkot, aiming to immunize 340,056 children against polio ¹. The campaign, which started on October 28 and will continue until November 2, was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Amir Fazal Ousi and DHO Babu Lal, who administered polio drops to children.
– 836 mobile teams, 59 transit teams, and 60 fixed teams have been formed to cover the area.
– Teams will visit door-to-door to administer polio drops to children under five years old.
– 66 UCMOs and six Tehsil officers, along with the Deputy Commissioner and DHO, will monitor the campaign.
– Teams will also convince parents who refuse to vaccinate their children.
– A large police contingent has been deployed to ensure the security of polio workers during the campaign.
Notably, Kandhkot district has not reported any polio cases in the last five years, as stated by Deputy Commissioner Amir Fazal Ousi ¹. This campaign aims to maintain this success and ensure the continued eradication of polio in the region.
