FIA TAKES ACTION AGAINST ONLINE SEXUAL HARASSMENT, ARRESTS ACCUSED

Dera Ismail Khan, August 8: The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cyber Crime Circle has arrested a suspect, Adnan Iqbal, from Kirk for his involvement in online sexual harassment. The accused was found to have shared compromising images of the complainant’s family members and uploaded objectionable content on social media platforms, including Facebook and TikTok.

The FIA team recovered two mobile phones from the accused, which were used to operate fake social media accounts and upload objectionable content. The accused was also found to be blackmailing the victim using the objectionable content.

In a separate operation, the FIA Peshawar Zone has arrested six Afghan nationals for their involvement in making fake Pakistani identity cards. One of the accused, Najeebullah, was arrested at the Torkham border and found to be in possession of a fake Pakistani identity card.

The FIA spokesperson said that the agency is taking strict action against those involved in online sexual harassment and fake identity card scams. The arrested individuals will be thoroughly investigated and prosecuted under relevant laws.
