Gujranwala, August 30, – The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Gujranwala Zone has released its performance report for August, detailing actions taken against human smugglers, advertisers, and white-collar crime suspects.
During August, the FIA Gujranwala Zone registered 85 cases and arrested 240 suspects. The agency also submitted challans for 209 suspects in court.
In the human smuggling category, 63 cases were registered, and 39 suspects were arrested, while 49 cases were challaned. The arrested suspects include those involved in kidnapping citizens in Iran and Bulgaria.
The arrested suspects also include six advertisers and highly wanted human smugglers. The suspects deceived innocent citizens by promising to send them abroad and extorted approximately Rs 12 crore.
In various actions, Pakistani passports, as well as fake documents from Spain, the UK, Italy, and Greece, were recovered from the suspects.
