PESHAWAR– In a significant move aimed at improving service delivery and accessibility to the general public, the Director General of the Federal Investigation Agency, Islamabad, has officially approved the division of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zone into two distinct zones, known as the Peshawar Zone and the Kohat Zone.This restructuring, as per Notification No. FIA/PIAB/Restructuring-FIA/2023/1016-21, comes into effect with immediate notice. The areas of jurisdiction for each newly established zone and their respective Zonal Headquarters are as follows:
Peshawar Zone –
Area of Jurisdiction: Peshawar, Mardan, Malakand, and Hazara Divisions
Zonal Headquarters: Peshawar.
Kohat Zone –
Area of Jurisdiction: Kohat, Bannu, and Dera Ismail Khan Divisions
Zonal Headquarters: Kohat.
This crucial decision is expected to streamline operations and facilitate the efficient functioning of FIA services in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region.It signifies a proactive step in enhancing the agency’s commitment to serving the public with utmost efficiency.
