Federal & Provincial Govts. mobilizing all available resources for development of Gwadar, says Chief Minister

QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti has stated that the federal and provincial governments are mobilized all available resources for development of Gwadar.
He said that work is continued on the projects of rehabilitation of rain affected areas in Gwadar.
He vowed not to leave the affected people in isolation till their complete rehabilitation.
The Chief Minister was chairing a high level meeting in Gwadar on Thursday.
Those present in the meeting were included the member of National Assembly, Malik Shah Gorgej, provincial assembly from Gwadar, Maulana Hidayatur Rehman, Chief Secretary, Shakeel Qadir Khan, Additional Chief Secretary Home, Zahid Saleem, Inspector General of police, Abdul Khaliq Sheikh, Commissioner Makran Division, Saeed Ahmed Umrani, Secretary Fisheries, Imran Gichki, Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority, Jahanzaib Khan, Deputy Commissioner Gwadar, Aurangzeb Badini and other concerned high ups.
The meeting reviewed the overall law and order and progress of Gwadar Safe City Project.
The high ups of Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) briefed the meeting about the measures taken for drainage of rain water in Gwadar.
Similarly, the Secretary Fisheries Department briefed about the problems faced by the fishermen and government measures taken to address them.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister made pledge to eliminate menace of terrorism from the province.
He said that restoration of peace is our topmost priority and we would counter terrorism with full force.
The Chief Minister mentioned that the Pak Army, other security forces and whole nation have competed the terrorism with determination and would continue to do so in future.
He said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project is guarantor of the development of Pakistan and Balochistan.
He said that the development of the province and country is linked with the development of Gwadar.
The foolproof security of Chinese experts and all workers engaged in the projects is being ensured.
In this regard, the speed of work has been expedited on the Gwadar safe city project, he maintained.
While the safety measures are being adopted in accordance with the given standard operating procedures of the Ministry of Interior, he mentioned adding that it has been decided to review the same fortnightly.
