Islamabad: Federal Minister for Human Rights, Law & Parliamentary Affairs, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar addressed an event on “The Art of Parenting,” highlighting critical social issues and emphasizing collective action for effective solutions.
He underscored the need for comprehensive measures to address societal challenges, particularly in policymaking and implementation. “We create policies, but we do not implement them,” he remarked, stressing the importance of bridging this gap to effectively support families and children.
“In the realm of parenting, it is imperative for the government, civil society, and all stakeholders to collaborate,” the Minister emphasized. He acknowledged that raising children is a fundamental concern for every household, transcending economic disparities.
He also addressed prevalent issues such as poverty, destitution, and child labor, which significantly impact the ability of families to provide proper upbringing and education to their children. He advocated for a shift towards robust family planning initiatives to mitigate these challenges effectively.
“We must raise awareness among our populace about their role in fostering the proper upbringing of children,” the Minister urged, highlighting the importance of investing in children’s holistic development. He emphasized that addressing these issues is crucial for ensuring a prosperous future for Pakistan’s next generations.
