Islamabad: Oct 10, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Islamabad city today to oversee preparations for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit.
The Interior Minister conducted a thorough inspection of D-Chowk, Constitution Avenue, Murree Road, and Islamabad Expressway to review arrangements for the SCO Summit, including decoration, cleanliness, and security.
Mohsin Naqvi directed authorities to ensure excellent arrangements for the summit and expedite decorative and construction work. He emphasized the need for thorough cleanliness of Islamabad City, particularly VVIP routes and the Red Zone, and removal of encroachments from roads.
The Interior Minister stated that Islamabad’s natural beauty will be showcased during the SCO Summit, and arrangements will be made accordingly. Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa briefed Interior Minister on the progress of construction work. Other officials present included the Federal Secretary Interior, Chief Commissioner and Chairman CDA, Deputy Commissioner, and relevant authorities.
