Abbottabad, August 25, – In a scathing press conference at the Abbottabad Press Club, Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs, Engineer Amir Muqam, unleashed a blistering attack on anti-state elements, exposing their true faces to the public.
Muqam lambasted the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for its inability to tackle the province’s worsening situation, citing foreign funding as a major contributor to the chaos. He alleged that ministers are engaged in a bitter struggle for shares of this funding, using it to fuel protests while claiming the treasury is empty when it comes to providing relief to the people.
The Minister also took aim at a certain individual, criticizing their hypocrisy in chanting anti-American slogans during the day and supporting the country at night. He lamented the government’s failure to address the pressing issues of insecurity and unemployment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In a positive note, Muqam announced that the long-awaited Abbottabad Interchange will be formally inaugurated by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in September, fulfilling a long-standing demand of the people.
With his characteristic candor, Muqam’s press conference sent a strong message to anti-state elements and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, promising a new era of accountability and transparency.
