Independent Report.

Islamabad, Sept. 14,

Minister Ahsan Iqbal has stressed the importance of managing exports to achieve sustained economic growth, citing the need to increase exports from $30 billion to $100 billion.

Speaking at a meeting with consultants from Kearney and officials from the Public Private Partnership Authority, Iqbal discussed the 5Es framework, which outlines national priorities in five key areas to put Pakistan on a sustained growth trajectory.

The minister highlighted the country’s competitive economy in the 1960s, noting that Pakistan’s manufactured exports were $200 million, compared to South Korea’s $100 million and Malaysia’s $60-70 million.

Iqbal emphasized the need for goal-based plans to drive economic growth, with exports being a top priority.
