Every citizen of Balochistan desires peace; personal interests are reason behind insurgency not backwardness

QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti has categorically stated that every one in the province desires peace, however, the youngsters are being misled through baseless propaganda.
However, the gaps between the State and youth have to be overcome.
He said that one has to be familiar with the history to understand the issue of Balochistan.
One thing which is clear is that the reason behind insurgency is the personal interests not backwardness.
In this regard, there is a need to tell facts to the people.
These and similar other views were expressed by the Chief Minister while speaking to the participants of 13th National Workshop Balochistan here on Thursday.
The Chief Minister maintained that the people think that there is a war of State and separatists in Balochistan, which is a wrong impression.
Rather it is the war of all of us as we would survive as long as the State survives.
Referring the reforms in education and health sectors, the Chief Minister said that we are making efforts to bring about reforms in these two sectors.
However, it is not possible to correct the system of 70 years in few months, he added.
He said that the opportunities of livelihood would be provided to some 30,000 youngsters of the province abroad after making them skilled in next couple of years.
He said that the government would provide interest free loans to the graduates on bringing business plan.
While on the other hand, the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Scholarship Programme has been started in the province.
We would be offering educational scholarships to the students from the basic to higher level.
Besides, the students going to do Ph.D in the sciences would be given scholarships, adding he announced.
Similarly, complete scholarships would be given to the students for studies in 200 most prestigious universities of the world.
