PESHAWAR- A momentous gathering convened, presided over by the caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, to deliberate on the vital reformation of the MD CAT admissions process for medical and dental colleges within the province. Distinguished attendees included the Chief Minister’s Health Advisor, the Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary Home, dedicated secretaries, the erudite Vice-Chancellor of KMU, alongside police and intelligence agency officials, and the accomplished divisional commissioners. During the assembly, an illuminating presentation was delivered, outlining the prospective action plan of Khyber Medical University for the seamless execution of the MDCAT. Resolutely, it was resolved to establish a committee, to be helmed by the adept Additional Chief Secretary home, charged with implementing the endorsed action plan and meticulously delineating its particulars. Moreover, the Chief Minister, in his resolute commitment to ensuring an untarnished examination process, undertook the pivotal responsibility of orchestrating a foolproof operational framework. In acknowledging the gravity of examination malpractice, the caretaker Chief Minister expounded on the imperative for stringent measures to obliterate this scourge. Directives were unequivocally issued to allocate administrative and technical resources, in addition to bolstering security measures, to safeguard the integrity of the forthcoming MDCAT examination. Consequently, examination centers will be strategically established across seven districts of the province, including D.I Khan, Kohat, Peshawar, Mardan, Dir Lower, Swat, and Abbottabad. An impressive total of 46,220 registered candidates are slated to participate in this pivotal examination, with a resolute stance against malpractice evidenced by the blacklisting of 219 individuals found guilty of cheating during the previous test.
