QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has emphasized that the support and guidance of federal government is necessary to strengthen the basic infrastructure and cope with the present challenges in the province.
The Governor was speaking to the Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON and Kashmir Affairs, Engineer Amir Muqam who called on him here at the Governor’s House on Friday.
During the course of meeting, the Governor and Federal Minister discussed the regional situation as well as the Kashmir conflict and the political scenario of the country besides the development process and federal government’s support in the province.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor said that there is a dire need of support and guidance of the federal government for strengthening basic infrastructure and tackling with the present challenges in the province.
While emphasizing upon promoting the collective sense, the Governor said that all political parties would have to give preference to the country’s and national interests remaining above the personal gains.
The Governor strongly believed that the frequent visits of the President, Prime Minister and federal Ministers to Balochistan would surely play role in making the relations between the federation and province besides promoting mutual understanding and consensus and development of the province.
Meanwhile, the Federal Minister SAFRON and Kashmir Affairs, who also happens to be the senior leader of ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) from Khyber Pakhtunkhaw, assured the Governor Balochistan that federal government would extend every possible cooperation to the provincial government to resolve the issues on sustainable grounds and cope with the present challenges facing the province.
