QUETTA: The candidates contesting election for the slots of chairman and vice chairman of district councils of Gwadar, Harnai and Kharan were elected unopposed on Thursday.
According to the informal announcement made by the concerned returning officers, Syed Maiyar Jan Noori of the Noori Panel and Hot Naimatullah were elected as chairman and vice chairman of district council Gwadar respectively.
Both the candidates were having the support of Balochistan National Party (BNP).
Similarly, Malik Abdul Salam Abdalani and Malik Amal Khan Tareen were elected unopposed as the chairman and vice chairman of district council Harnai respectively.
Both the candidates were having affiliation with Pashtoonkhaw Milli Awami Party (PkMAP).
While from Kharan district council, Mir Muhammad Juma Kubdani and Mir Mohsin Zahir were elected as the chairman and vice chairman of Kharan district council respectively.
Jumma Kubdani was the candidate of BNP and Mohsin Zahir was candidate of JUI. They were also elected unopposed as no other filed nomination papers against them.
Moreover, Ibrahim Doda and Kamal Muhamad Hassani were elected unopposed as chairman and vice chairman of Hub district council.
