QUETTA: The oath-taking ceremony of the District Returning Officers (DROs) and Deputy Commissioner Quetta took place at the Provincial Election Commissioner Balochistan’s office on Saturday. The ceremony adhered to the established legal procedures, with Provincial Election Commissioner Balochistan, Sharifullah, administering the oath and supervising the signing of the relevant documents.
In the subsequent phase of this event, the DRO (District Returning Officer) is set to administer the oath to all 17 returning officers and 34 assistant returning officers who will be overseeing the local body elections in the Quetta district.
Provincial Election Commissioner Balochistan emphasized the importance of ensuring a peaceful, transparent, and impartial conduct of the local government elections in Quetta. He offered valuable guidance to the officials present, urging them to spare no effort in ensuring that every stage of the elections is conducted in an amicable and fair manner.
Furthermore, Provincial Election Commissioner Sharifullah underlined that conducting clean and transparent elections is not just a legal obligation but also a national responsibility that should be upheld by all. He committed to utilizing all available resources to achieve this goal.
