QUETTA: The Provincial Minister for Livestock and Dairy Development, Sardarzada Faisal Jamali has stated that efforts are being made to resolve the issues being faced by department.
He said that we are working on increasing budget of the department and channelizing it.
The Minister for Livestock and Dairy Development was addressing the meeting of standing committee here on Tuesday.
The Member Provincial Assembly and Chairman of the standing committee, Maulana Hidayatur Rehman presided over the meeting.
The Chairman of standing committee expressed concern over the challenges being faced by the department and stressed the need to resolve the issues.
He said that we are ever ready for resolving the issues of department.
Earlier, Secretary Livestock Department, Muhammad Tayyab Lehri said that the department is facing certain issues due to the resources and financial constraints.
He pointed out that out of 999 veterinary dispensaries, 262 are operating without buildings. He said that at present, a total of 147 civil veterinary hospitals are working in the province. There are a total of 6,452 employees in the department, however, the Finance Department has abolished 319 vacancies of camel man.
The committee also discussed about insufficient budget for medicines of the animals.
