Education Minister’s consideration of filing a case under 16 MPO against the Boti Mafia.

On the instructions of Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, his monitoring teams visited the examination centers of DG Khan, where they caught the candidates red-handed with the collusion of the staff in three centers. The teams found students in Government High School Khanpur Baga Sher, Government High School Rangpur and Government Associate Degree College Rangpur by doing chitting. Helping material and mobile phones were also recovered from the candidates during the search. Most of the examination staff appointed in the three centers were also found to be absent while some staff members were found to be on duty instead of actual staff members. The teachers of the same school were also found on duty as invigilators at the Baga Sher Centre. Monitoring teams also found open copying of candidates through microphotocopies at the Rangpur center. Supporting or helping points were also written on the examination boards in the centers. The monitoring team arrested one of the monitoring staff. Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, taking strict notice of the matter, has directed to register UMC case against the involved candidates, registration of FIR and strict action against the supervising staff. Rana Sikandar Hayat has expressed his determination to completely eliminate the booty mafia by the next year and will make the chances of copying zero, saying that the candidates from whom the mafia extorted money will also be recovered, while the arrested persons will be bring under the caseof 16 MPO is also being considered. He said that a zero-tolerance policy regarding “Boti” will be adopted in the inter-commencement examinations.
