Earlier, newly appointed Commissioner Bahawalpur Nadir Chahta,  called on Governor Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rehman at Governor House Lahore. In the meeting, Governor Punjab expressed good wishes to Commissioner Bahawalpur on assuming office.

Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman said that serving the people and providing them with basic facilities should be a priority. He said that the district administration should take steps to control artificial inflation in the holy month of Ramazan . Governor Punjab said that Bahawalpur Division is an excellent city in terms of cleanliness. He said that Bahawalpur division is one of the most important divisions of South Punjab, adding that steps should be taken to maintain its beauty, improve its educational institutions and bring improvement in all departments.
