Khyber, A daring raid by Landikotal police has yielded a significant haul of crystal meth, dealing a major blow to the illicit drug trade in the region.
Police officials confirmed that 4.5 kilograms of ice, valued at approximately £200,000, was seized from two suspects during a search operation in Landikotal Bazaar’s Psidakheel area.
The operation, spearheaded by SHO Landikotal and Additional SHO , resulted in the arrest of Yasin, son of Shah Hussain, and Zahoor, son of Shah Zaman, both residents of Landikotal.
According to initial investigations, the suspects confessed to smuggling crystal meth from a neighboring country and supplying it to other parts of Pakistan.
District Police Officer (DPO) Khyber reassured the public that the crackdown on drug smugglers and peddlers will continue relentlessly.
This haul is a testament to our unwavering commitment to eradicating the scourge of drugs from our society,” said DPO Khyber. “We will leave no stone unturned in our pursuit of those who seek to harm our communities.”
The successful operation is seen as a significant victory in the ongoing battle against narcotics trafficking in the region.
