Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi and UNFPA Provincial Head Dr. Sarmad Khan Collaborate for Women Empowerment in Balochistan
Quetta, – Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi, Advisor to the Chief Minister Balochistan for Women Development Department, convened a pivotal meeting today with Dr. Sarmad Khan, Provincial Head of UNFPA, at her office. The meeting served as a platform to deliberate on crucial initiatives aimed at advancing the cause of women empowerment across Balochistan.
Key matters discussed during the session included the establishment of a Gender-Based Violence (GBV) helpline to provide immediate support to victims, the implementation of women and girl-friendly spaces in various districts of Balochistan to foster safe and inclusive environments, and the introduction of skill-based education programs tailored to empower women and engage the youth in productive ventures.
Dr. Buledi emphasized the significance of collaborative efforts in addressing the multifaceted challenges faced by women and girls in the region, highlighting the importance of inclusive and sustainable solutions. Dr. Khan lauded the proactive approach of the Women Development Department and reaffirmed UNFPA’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote gender equality and empower women and youth across Balochistan.
