A meeting of the District Health Committee was held in Usta Muhammad on July 20, 2024, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Jalil Ahmed. The meeting was attended by District Health Officer Dr. Abdul Mannan Lakhti, Assistant Commissioner Usta Muhammad Muhammad Ramzan Ishaq, and other officials.
The meeting discussed various issues related to healthcare facilities, attendance of doctors and paramedical staff, availability of medicines, and other key challenges. Deputy Commissioner Jalil Ahmed emphasized the need for pre-emptive measures to address the challenges posed by monsoon rains, citing the experiences of previous floods.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed that it is essential to take precautionary measures, including ensuring the availability of essential medicines and the attendance of all doctors and paramedical staff at their designated places. He also directed that strict action be taken against absenteeism among health staff and that monitoring be ensured to address the issue.
The meeting was also briefed on the performance report by District Support Manager Shahjahan Mengal.
