ISLAMABAD- work has commenced on the removal of Muhammad Arif Yousafzai, Director General of Anti-Corruption Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, amidst allegations of fabricating a case against members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. Sources close to the matter suggest that Yousafzai, who is reportedly a close relative of PTI’s former provincial minister Shaukat Yousafzai, faced mounting pressure during the caretaker government while serving in his capacity. Sources reveal that during Muhammad Arif Yousafzai’s tenure, thousands of pending applications were neglected by the anti-corruption department, leading to a loss of credibility among the public. It is alleged that the department was misused solely for targeting political parties. Official sources indicate that these matters are well-documented and require the attention of the chief minister for appropriate action.
