Deputy Speaker of the New York State Assembly, Phil Ramos, visited Islamabad and met with Federal Minister of Interior, Mohsin Naqvi. The two leaders discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Pakistan and the United States in various fields, including education, health, policing, and economic development.
_according to interior Ministry sources the meeting focused on increasing cooperation in key sectors, including education, health, and economic development.
– The two sides agreed to work together to address the shortage of qualified nurses in New York, with Pakistan having significant potential in this regard.
– Federal Minister of Interior, Mohsin Naqvi, announced plans to increase the number of nurses in Islamabad and to send qualified Pakistani nurses to New York.
– The meeting also discussed enhancing cooperation between Islamabad Police and New York Police Department, with a delegation from Islamabad Police expected to visit New York soon.
– The two sides agreed to identify new areas of cooperation and to take swift action to further strengthen ties between the two countries.
