Deputy Speaker National Assembly, Syed Mir Ghulam Mustafa Shah, has paid rich tribute to teachers across the country on the occasion of World Teachers’ Day.

“Today’s occasion is an opportunity to acknowledge the invaluable services of teachers and highlight their significance,” Shah said.

He emphasized that teachers play a vital role in shaping a knowledgeable and enlightened society, adding that their hard work, dedication, and knowledge are the foundation of a nation’s future.

In Islam, teachers are considered spiritual parents, and their respect and dignity are obligatory for all, Shah noted.

Teachers also play a crucial role in grooming and character-building of the younger generation, he added.

“The efforts of teachers not only make students better citizens but also equip them to lead respectable lives,” Shah said.

He stressed that societal progress without teachers is incomplete.

“On this special occasion, we reaffirm our commitment to accord teachers the respect and status they deserve at all levels of society,” Shah concluded.
