A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Ustamhammad, Jalil Ahmed, with fertilizer dealers, agriculture officers, and shopkeepers’ representatives. The meeting discussed the supply of fertilizers to farmers at fixed prices and action against unregistered dealers.
Deputy Commissioner Jalil Ahmed said that the district administration will take all possible measures to maintain fertilizer prices and ensure registration to benefit local farmers. Dealers who have not registered yet should focus on registration, otherwise, the district administration will take action against them in consultation with the agriculture department.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that agriculture officers should closely monitor the process and inspect fertilizers in the market to take strict action against those selling substandard fertilizers, which affects farmers financially and impacts crop production.
