DEPUTY COMMISSIONER LAUNCHES TREE PLANTATION CAMPAIGN AT SHAHEED BENAZIR BHUTTO UNIVERSITY

Sakrand, August 8: Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad, Shahriyar Gul Memon, launched a tree plantation campaign at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, along with Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Amanat Ali Jalbani.

Addressing the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Shahriyar Gul Memon said that the district administration has launched a massive tree plantation campaign in collaboration with the forest department, aiming to plant 1.5 lakh trees by August 14. He emphasized the need for tree plantation to combat climate change and rising temperatures.

Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Amanat Ali Jalbani assured full support from the university to make the campaign a success. He announced that under the Green Belt campaign, 10,000 trees will be planted in the university.

Divisional Forest Officer Mushataq Ahmed Zardari and other officials were also present on the occasion.
