DEPUTY COMMISSIONER HARNALI INSPECTS FLOOD-DAMAGED SERWATI BAND AND PULOSIN BRIDGE

Harnai, August 6, 2024 – Deputy Commissioner Harnai, Muhammad Arif Khan Kakar, visited the Serwati Band and Pulosin Bridge affected by recent floodwaters. Accompanied by officials from the Irrigation Department, including the SDO and others, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the damage caused by the recent monsoon rains.

Emergency repairs have been initiated on a war footing, with Irrigation and B&R officers overseeing the work, which is ongoing 24/7. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Harnai said that, like other districts in Balochistan, Harnai has also been affected by the recent monsoon rains, resulting in temporary disruptions to traffic flow due to flooding in various rivers and streams.

He added that the district administration and relevant departments are working diligently and professionally to restore road connectivity. He appealed to the public to avoid attempting to cross rivers and streams with their vehicles during flooding.
