Deputy Commissioner Ghotki Agha Sher Zaman has said that sports competitions are as important for the mental and physical development of the youth as curricular activities are important, providing sports opportunities to the youth is a good thing. is action.
He expressed these views while addressing the closing ceremony of All Private School Cricket Tournament at Sona Public School and College Mirpur Mathelo.
SSP Anwar Khetran, Chairman Sona Welfare Society Brigadier Retired Muhammad Saleem Cheema, Administrator Colonel Shakeel Chatha, principals, teachers and a large number of students of private schools participated in the ceremony.

Speaking on this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that a plan is being prepared by the district administration to conduct sports competitions under which some competitions will be held in January.
Addressing the event, SSP Anwar Khetran said that along with educational activities, sports activities should also be continued, so that the youth remain more active and healthy.
Brigadier Muhammad Salim Cheema thanked all the schools that participated in the tournament and said that education and sports are inseparable, sports competitions instill the desire to win in the youth through which they struggle to shape the future. It should be remembered that 16 private schools of Mirpur Mathelo participated in the ongoing tournament in Sona Public School, while the team of Sona School won the final.
During the closing ceremony, trophies were distributed among the players for the best performance including the final winning team.
