QUETTA: The Police command of Balochistan has taken departmental action against the acting Superintendent of Police Barkhan, Noor Muhammad Bariach in the tragic case of Barkhan.
According to the police sources, Noor Muhammad Baraich, actually the DSP but serving as acting SP Barkhan at the time of Barkhan tragic incident, has been demoted as Inspector of Police.
The departmental action has been taken against DSP Noor Muhammad Baraich, posted as acting SP Barkhan, on the basis of inquiry report of the Barkhan tragic case in which three bodies were found from a well in Barkhan. A video had also gone viral on the social media regarding the case. As per the report, Noor Muhammad Baraich had not taken any action despite the fact that a video had gone viral about the incident.
Noor Muhammad Baraich had not taken any action describing the incident contrary to the facts, the inquiry report mentioned.
It was also mentioned in the report that Noor Muhammad Baraich had also not got conducted the postmortem of the bodies nor had registered FIR of the case.
