QUETTA: The Chairman Pashtoonkhaw Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Mehmood Khan has given ultimatum to the Election Commission of Pakistan to correct the otherwise “rigged” results of the elections in favour of the party’s candidates.
The Chairman PkMAP alleged that victory of party candidates on six provincial assembly and three national assembly seats were converted into defeat in the province.
Mr. Achakzai was addressing a hurriedly called press conference at Quetta Press Club on Friday evening.
The Chairman PkMAP said that we had lot of expectations with the 12th elections of the country, but the results were changed in half of the day.
Those candidates who defeated in the elections were declared winner on different seats of the provincial and national assemblies, adding he charged further.
He said that democracy and supremacy of constitution is our weakness as our forefathers had struggled for the democracy in the country.
He said that our elders did never make any compromise over the democracy, and they also rendered sacrifices that the government is formed through power of vote.
He asserted that we are not against of the state’s institutions, but they are not ready to accept supremacy of the democracy for last seventy years.
He said that we want to make Pakistan a democracy country and live here.
The Chairman PkMAP said that if we were not allowed to go into parliament, then we would lodge protest in every street.
He urged the independent candidates to join the PkMAP.
