Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) A delegation of journalists from the National Press Club Islamabad, led by President Azhar Jatoi, arrived in Sanghar at the invitation of Sindh Government and Provincial Minister for Information, Sharjeel Inam Memon. They were warmly welcomed by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Rajesh Kumar Hurdasani and the Information Department staff.
During the visit, Rajesh Kumar presented traditional Sindhi gifts, Ajrak and Lungi, to the delegation. The journalists praised the infrastructure of Sindh, particularly highlighting the excellent roads from Sukkur to Sanghar.
Officials from the Information Department and Rajesh Kumar briefed the delegation on various development initiatives in the Sanghar district, including a network of well-constructed roads, clean drinking water schemes, and upgraded healthcare facilities in rural areas. They also mentioned improvements in the irrigation system, benefiting the agricultural sector. Rajesh Kumar emphasized that minority communities in Sindh enjoy all their rights and that government funding is allocated for temples and churches.
Speaking at the event, National Press Club Islamabad Joint Secretary Saharish Qureshi expressed that the love and hospitality of Sindh would never be forgotten. She acknowledged the ongoing development projects in roads, health, and education.
Later, the delegation visited the Sanghar Press Club and is scheduled to depart for Mirpurkhas and Thar Coal tomorrow.
