ISLAMABAD, :Islamabad Capital Police, in collaboration with the district administration and Capital Development Authority (CDA), has taken a proactive step by setting up a specialized complaint center aimed at promptly addressing the concerns of overseas Pakistani nationals.
According to a police spokesperson, this newly established cell will feature representatives from the district administration, Islamabad Capital Police, and CDA, all readily available to address the challenges faced by overseas Pakistanis.
At the helm of the Islamabad Capital Police representation within this cell will be a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
This initiative follows the directives of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO), Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, who inaugurated the Overseas Pakistanis’ Complaints Cell at the Central Police Office Islamabad on September 17, 2022.
This cell was entrusted with the responsibility of managing complaints and was overseen by a designated Superintendent of Police.
The Overseas Pakistanis’ Complaints Cell has been diligently working to ensure swift resolution and legal recourse for complaints submitted by overseas residents.
As of now, the cell has received a total of 280 complaints, with 254 already resolved on merit, while the remaining issues are being actively addressed on a priority basis.
