Death toll due to fatal virus rises to five: Cases of haemorrhagic fever continues to rise as another patient dies of virus in FJH

QUETTA: The number of cases of haemorrhagic fever continued to rise in Quetta as another patient diagnosed with the fatal virus in the Fatima Jinnah Hospital here died on Friday.
According to the FJ Hospital administration, the 42-year male patient belonging to Quetta was admitted in the Hospital on Thursday where he was diagnosed with the haemorrhagic, commonly known as Congo virus.
The patient was provided necessary medical assistance at the Hospital, however, he couldn’t survive and died on Friday afternoon.
It may be mentioned here a female patient was also diagnosed with the Congo virus a couple of days back.
The patient hailing from Loralai was also admitted in the FJ Hospital and being treated for the virus.
In all 20 cases of Congo virus have so far been reported this year. Of them, four patients died due to the virus
