“Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Lieutenant (R) Saad Bin Asad, has launched a crackdown on price violators in Quetta city and its surroundings under the Price Control Committee. Different teams of the district administration visited 61 shops, including meat, milk, and poultry shops, and took action against those violating the official price list. As a result, 4 shops were sealed, 16 shopkeepers were arrested, 21 shopkeepers were fined, and many others were given strict warnings. Assistant Commissioner (Kachlak) Captain R Khalid Shamshad also took action against price violators in Kachlak and its surroundings, visiting 10 shops, 3 petrol pumps, and a poultry farm. Three shopkeepers were arrested, and many others were given strict warnings. The poultry farm was also sealed for overpricing.”
