In a surprise move, Deputy Commissioner Jhal Magsi, Syed Rehmatullah Shah, visited the Veterinary Hospital in Gandawah and expressed strong displeasure over the absence of key staff members. He promptly issued orders to issue show-cause notices to those who failed to report for duty.
The DC’s visit comes in the wake of the district’s recent struggles with livestock diseases and floods in 2022, which had a devastating impact on the local animal population. He emphasized the critical need for preventive measures, vaccination drives, and strict maintenance of cleanliness and attendance at veterinary centers to safeguard the public’s animals from diseases.
