QUETTA: The Pakistan Customs foiled major bid of smuggling of foreign currency and gold from alleged smugglers at Pak-Afghan border on Wednesday.
According to the spokesman of Customs, the Customs carried out operation against the smugglers in collaboration with the Frontier Corps (FC) at the Pak-Afghan border.
During the seizure, a total of 826 grams of gold and around 200,000 foreign currency (Saudi Riyal) were recovered from five alleged smugglers.
The smugglers were arrested and further legal action has been started against them.
According to the Customs spokesman, the worth of smuggled currency and gold is over Rs. 3 crore.
